Boards, committees and leadership teams make decisions that have to be recorded correctly. They needed to capture meetings on a phone, in the room or on a Teams or Zoom call, without losing minutes to a locked screen or a bad connection. Every meeting also carries a classification, and a draft only becomes the official record once a secretary approves it. We designed and built the whole app.
Three questions we answered before drawing a screen.
What happens when the phone locks mid-meeting?
Recording keeps going. A Live Activity on the lock screen and in the Dynamic Island shows the timer and level meter, and a long press opens pause and stop.
How do classification and consent get captured before recording?
Every meeting carries a classification: Public, Internal, Confidential or Restricted. The person recording confirms that everyone present has been told the session is recorded.
How does a transcript become an official record?
Only after review. The recording is uploaded to the organization's own servers and transcribed with speaker labels. Draft minutes then go to a secretary, who can suggest edits and approve them.
